Since I was so uncharacteristically vocal on the issue: what do I think of the gay marriage amendment passing?
Not much.
I'm disgusted by the last minute tactics used by the NO side. That makes me a little bit happy that it passed, to be honest.
I think that this amendment will be like prohibition or the three-fifths compromise: something we look back to in the future and think "gosh, that was awfully narrow thinking."
We already stopped burning gays alive quite some time ago. Eventually, we'll probably learn to like them.

I agree totally with your position if I understand that you were okay with it passing but hated the no group tactics. I agree that if you have to fool the people to get something passed it wrong.
