Pollute Locally, Warm Globally... Or Something Like That
Hang on a second! I thought global warming was... well, global. Or is it?
Just to be safe, I think I'll operate my oven 2 or 3 degrees cooler than last year.
The American West is becoming warmer faster on average than the rest of the world, a climate researcher says. There must be some way to account for it:
Climate systems are not completely understood, but research suggests an especially warm Indian Ocean region appears to be causing the West's warming.I realize that I mentioned this just two posts ago, but allow me to repeat myself. I thought there was a scientific consensus on global warming. What do you mean by "climate systems are not completely understood?" Hadn't we better figure them out before we make any wild assumptions about how this planet operates?
Just to be safe, I think I'll operate my oven 2 or 3 degrees cooler than last year.
