These Aren't the WMDs You're Looking For

Steve at No Runny Eggs was one of the first that I saw to report the latest Iraqi WMD story.

The United States has located hundreds of munitions, tainted with sarin and mustard gas.

Believe it or not, some on the left are already trying to say that these weapons don't count. There aren't any names to name yet, but the spin from the far left is that these weapons were in Iraq before the first Gulf War in 1991. Somehow, because we didn't neutralize them then they can't be counted as a legitimate find now.

I have a suggestion, in case someone you know actually tries to argue this point. Tell them that you are sending a letter to the military, saying that your friend "so-and-so" would be perfectly happy to help dispose of the "safe WMDs." Watch your buddy try to explain when a WMD is not really a WMD. It's good for a laugh, at least.

Oh, and on another note. Do you remember this photo?Correct me if I'm wrong, but typically a nation with nothing to hide parks its airforce ABOVE ground.

My stepson found some arrowheads up at Wyalusing. That doesn't mean Chief Blackhawk has plans to invade Prairie du Chien.

An arrowhead will kill one, or maybe two people if used properly.

SLIGHT difference between arrowheads fired in the middle of battle and weapons (especially ones banned by agreement) buried to hide them from those assigned to find them.

Oh, Chief Blackhawk is dead last time I checked.

Jay (Folkbum) and Tim (Other side) have already commented on my blog saying that they think they are safe and are willing to test them for the DoD for us.

I heard something about how the WMD's were not in fully active form, but could be reconstituted. I don't know what the implications of what that means. If he didn't have the means to reconstitute, then perhaps nothing. It does mean Saddam did have chemical weapons. It doesn't change how the administration sold the war, although the weapons may justify such an approach.

As for the plane, neat picture, but I believe the Iraqis buried their plans in 1991 so that they wouldn't get blown up by us, not because planes are chemical weapons. It's nice to see that you have learned well from Rove how to mislead with statements that imply conclusions that are false so that you can later deny having said something which would be a lie.

Oh and I did hear about it on the liberal mainstream media.
