    GPL Podcast #21

    Guest: Dean

We really didn't have many topics prepared for this one. Even so, it's almost an hour long and still entertaining. We spend the first half talking about North Korea and Herb Kohl, then we start to ramble quite a bit. You'll also get to hear some dirt about the podcast and Dean's MSM career.

    Enjoy.

About that senate race: it seems that the blogosphere is behind me on this. If the republicans fail to choose a candidate, I think it's going to trigger a blegging spree like we've never seen. I may as well take advantage of the opportunity to "run" as a write-in candidate.

Ahh, just a comment on the Honneywell discussion, I would have been all over the phone to the company, to see if they were doing a door to door promotion, if not, call the cops. sounds to me like he was either casing houses in the area or preparing to run a scam on people, the elderly are especially vulnerable to scams like that.

A real representative of the company would have a photo ID and be happy to provide company information.

Personally, I think I would still give Honeywell, if not the police, a call, you just might save someone from being scammed out of a thousand dollars for a security system that doesn't exist... or worse.

By the way, it was a good show. I know you guys weren't real prepared ahead of time, but it was good, especially the part when you were talking about me (even though you didn't plug my blog by name LOL).

Alito -- The hearings and the vote.

    That's Kohl's Achilles' heel.

He didn't conduct himself like the moderate, barn-roaming, plaid-shirted, baseball-capped Kohl that we've come to know through his commercials.

He was completely on board with the rantings of the far Left Feingold, Durbin, and Kennedy.

Read the transcripts from the hearings.

Also, I think the buck has to stop somewhere as far as fielding a
Republican candidate to challenge Kohl goes.

Yes, Thompson's drama was a distraction, but it was the RPW's responsibility to make sure that they had a candidate.

The party has had no problem asking for contributions in preparation for the 2006 election.

They should have put as much energy into getting a candidate for senate as they put into fundraising.

Too bad no one bothered to find someone to run against Kohl. I think the RPW really dropped the ball.
