Listen to us!!!
As it turns out, a story I was first hearing this afternoon is a week old. You may have even read it on other blogs. I didn't read it, of course, because if I see "Ethanol Mandate" in the title of a blog I automatically make assumptions about the content based on the particular blogger's M.O.
Amendments are being tacked on to the ethanol mandate, in order to make it more palatable for Southeastern Wisconsin.
Hopefully other state senators will see the writing on the wall. If you can't get Southeastern Wisconsin to accept this bill and we're already using gasohol, then maybe this stuff isn't such a good idea! Maybe, just maybe, we're speaking from experience down here.

- The amendments would exempt six southeastern Wisconsin counties that already are forced to use a special type of fuel to meet federal clean air standards. They also would allow the state to kill the mandate if it caused additional air pollution.
