    Blogger Audio #6

Thanks, Belle, for hosting Blogger Audio #6. This week was totally smooth sailing and Jenna kept it PG-13. The entire piece is 45 minutes, so don't sit there staring at your screen waiting for it to end. These programs make good backround, and you're bound to like something this week:

    Anonymous blogging
    Blogging war stories
Voces de la Frontera (Seriously! We talk about it again.)
Belle's spot on the Sykes blogroll (You can blame me for this, Charlie.)
    No Runny Eggs is porn
    Mark Green's ethanol stance
    Public smoking bans

Remember to look up how you can subscribe or be a guest!

The new rule on Blogger Audio: all guests must touch the bear poop on the way in the door.

It must have been the colorful language in a couple of Sunday's posts that temporarily nailed Casper's work filters.

Better you guys than me behind the mike :-)

This week's was good enough to get me to subscribe.

But I think you owe me for making me listen to all the bear crap (sometimes literally) in last week's episode.

If you want an apology, you're going to have to do a guest spot.

Downloaded, I'll listen to it today on my way home from the office.

I hope you smeared Voces in the bear poop!

Jenna needs to get over that Green and Walker need to differentiate themselves. That's the point of a primary.

I don't care if pro-ethanol supporters are "just representing their districts." They should be doing what's right, not necessarily what their constitutients want. We're a democratic republic not a democracy in the vein of ancient Greece. (See Edmund Burke and George Will on this.)

She also has to remember Belling is a conservative rather than a Republican. The more non-conservative policies the state GOP pushes the more like Belling I'm becoming.

Ok Sean, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, cause I'm a big fan of TAM, and I probably should not be commenting now at my current toxication levels...but here goes. Let's see if I can be coherent.

It is one thing for Green and Walker to differentiate themselves. I'm all for that. I would love to see any differences at all arise between the two candidates so people can make an informed decision.

However, it is all about execution. Think about it. Generally, what are the ads you remember the most from elections? Are they the nice ones? Or the negative ones? Think about how many people remember the Swift Boat Ads and their message.

Negativity sticks. In an election that is the GOP's to lose, we must not do anything to push away swing voters. Walker can point out perceived Green flaws and Green can do the same without attacking each other--right?

As for your second point, to mimic Plato, what is "right"? Is it what the voters decide is "right"? Or is it what their elected representatives decide for them is "right"?

Finally, Sean, and I"m assuming something here, and that is that you don't necessarily want to be like Belling. He donated to a Democrat. Is that where ya want to go? I hope not. :)

    Whew. Hope that made sense.

Jenna, tell Green I'll vote for him if he promises to appoint me Ethanol Czar or Lord of Ethanol.
