    Random Headline #1

The Blog of Interest and Weekend Video blogs have been so much fun, that I've decided to try something else: random headlines. I selected this article by closing my eyes and clicking, and I'm going to try and comment on it: Japan sees end to deflation curse.

This new feature is going to die horribly, isn't it? How could this article possibly be interesting? Perhaps this will grab your attention:

The world's second-largest economy is slowly emerging from recession and years of falling consumer prices.

Wait! What? Falling prices are bad? Wouldn't lower prices increase people's buying power and encourage them to shop, thereby boosting the economy?

The country has been struggling to combat deflation, which hurts the economy by holding back demand as consumers put off buying goods in the expectation that prices will become cheaper.

Those dirty bastards! They're trying to spend their money wisely.

So, now I understand why a little inflation is good for the economy. It encourages consumer spending. That's one more question I'll get right on the test!

The new feature is like a train wreck that happened, is happening, and keeps happening with no one really wanting to watch...

Actually it is a good idea that some of your listeners will find entertaining.

I told you, the sly fox stole my best bit by putting me on the blogroll!

Don't worry, I'll find something else to be passionate about. :)
