Jamie Larson to WE Energies: The Birds Can Bite Me

Jamie Larson's news read on WISN this morning broke into political commentary when she read a story about an effort by WE Energies to restore nesting grounds for blue herons.

We Energies plans to place surplus power poles in the nesting area, in order to give the birds a place to roost. Jamie quipped: So this is what they're doing with my increased energy bill. Nicole, of course, offered the liberal response: WE Energies is helping the birds. And, without a pause Jamie replied, "The birds can bite me!"

Way to tell it, Jamie! While I'm a fan of shore birds, they can bite me also if it means that the company which has me bent over a barrel this winter is wasting manpower on busywork. If WE Energies has people that they can spare for this project, they're over-staffed. Make some cuts and lower my bill.

Sell the surplus power poles to PETA and let them install them. It'll give them something to do for a little while.
