For Sale: One Carrie Wendt Ogre Slaying Knife
The purpose of this blog is two-fold.
First, I want to ask if you've ever tried EBay. I have a few unopened Bob and Brian albums I want to sell, and Kelly has a Dale Earnhardt wrench set she needs to get rid of. I've never sold anything on EBay and I'd like to know if it's really worth the effort.
Second, I've been finding the strangest things in my site stats lately. It seems that "Carrie Wendt" and "ogre slaying knife" are the two searches that bring the most people to my blog. Over the past few days, "ogre slaying knife" has brought half a dozen international visits per day. It seems that I'm listed first on Google when you type this in as a keyword. I used to play D&D, so I find this very amusing.
Since Carrie Wendt is so interesting to some people, I'd like to note that I have been lucky enough to meet her. When you're a public figure, you can choose to humor your fans or ignore them. Carrie is was very friendly when I met her. She was substitute hosting "Survivor Thursday" and she was actually expecting me. Carrie knew that I was a regular at the event, and that I had a reputation. I would invite people along and buy dinner. For some strange reason, the people I brought with me would walk away with all the prizes and I'd go home empty handed. The streak continued that night, and Carrie came over by us to chat. I was surprised when she handed me some pity prizes to boot. She's a class act!

I bought the combo pack this year because By the Numbers broke on me. By selling three unopened albums, I figured I can at least recover the cost of the set.
