    Sledding with Engineers

My friends from and I decorated sleds as part of a Christmas challenge this year. Since we're all electrical engineers, the designs were a bit strange. Two of them had lights, and the others had some stylin' (or embarrassing) paint jobs.

On Sunday, we took them out to a hill in Oconomowoc that has a bad reputation among the EMT's in the area. There are a lot of injuries on this hill, because it's steep, tall, and ends abruptly in a ditch. Luckily, only one of us needed to be hospitalized after this event, for a dislocated shoulder. He handled it really well. The whiskey he'd been drinking helped to numb the pain.

Here's a photo of the sled that I designed. The ground effect lighting was really fun to watch as it went down the hill.

You could've said it was my goofy hubby that dislocated his "plus size" shoulder!

I heard that you would stop half way down though....
    whats up with that?!?

I'm amazed only one ended up in the hospital. Dan thought I only went to take pictures, but he had no idea I would run up the hill to try it myself. Dan's bruised from riding the sleds on his knee's and from Johnny cushin' his fall by landing on him. He's mine Johnny, you can't have him.

How much would you charge to deck my daughters saucer out? I bet it did look really cool going down the hill. Glad to see that the majority of you guys stayed safe.

Except for the two who decided to tempt fate, we were all stopping before the bottom most of the time. No one wanted to walk all the way back up that thing!

There was a ski hill on the horizon. We were looking DOWN on it.
