Carnival of the Badger XVII
Welcome to this week’s Carnival of Vengeance!
Two of my previous CoB posts have been neglected, and I’m not taking it sitting down! You may have submitted your entries this week in good faith, but this week’s carnival is mine! And, I’m going to post whatever I feel like. Sit down, shut up, and enjoy!
NursingFawns was busy at deer camp this week. I wonder if the weather was a problem.
Milwaukee's Layton Park Blogger shouted some catch phrases at me, perhaps to hide his true feelings.
Belle at Leaning Blue cites her first amendment rights as the reason she can post blogs like this.
The New Vernacular is gearing up to save Christmas. All the lights are up, bring in the sled.
This post from Badger Blogger, highlighting sex offenders in his neighborhood, was far too depressing. Isn't it time to revisit this post, Patrick?
I read this post from RealDebateWisconsin, about how the Democrats are stepping in it with regard to Iraq, and decided that you would rather read this.
Nick submitted a post on congress' nannying of sports and athletics, and I went digging through his trash to find this nugget.
The submission from Cooler Near the Lake this week gets an asterisk.
Folkbum's Rambles and Rants questions the effectiveness of voter ID. Is anyone reading yet, Jay?
The Happy Circumstance compares bloggers to CB radio operators this week. I wonder how he made out in that Very Serious Euchre game he was talking about.
Our Texas Hold 'Em Blogger submitted an editorial by Mark Belling. While this isn't technically in the spirit of the carnival, we'd have a deep blue CoB this week without it! Peter, I'm going to recommend this post from your blog this week.
My dog ate the post from Badger Blues, and this was all I could find to replace it.
At the last minute, Random10 is mailing it in this week. Perhaps we should visit the archives.
You may have noticed that I went snooping on all of your blogs. You see, people do read the stuff you post! One interesting observation that I have: it seems like the best blogging occurs between May and July.
Since this week was light, here are some of the other blogs I found while snooping around:
Wigderson Library & Pub wanted didn't submit this week. I offer you this hidden gem.
Blogger Beer was too busy slacking off this week to submit a real post.
Steve at No Runny Eggs must've had trouble getting fired up this week, because this was the best offering he had.
The American Mind didn't send a post. I just kept asking myself "where's the beef?"
My spam filter must’ve killed the submission from Military Matters. I think this must’ve been this week’s post.
Letters in Bottles tossed one out to sea, and this is what washed up on shore.
If you want to host or post in a future carnival, go here.

Damn Aaron, undies in a bundle? Great carnival!
I'll send you some decaf for the holidays, eh?
This was a lot of fun.
I got to check out the things you guys were posting when you first got started.
I'm not sure what this whole thing is all about???
I go to most of these blogs and maybe of them come to mine...what is this carnival of the badger?
Sorry. got busy fdealin' with the loonies across the Fox River.
Good job, Aaron, again!
Just for the record, Maddy's Dad kicked my fanny in the Very Serious Euchre Game and went 2 for 3 in the Championship of the World.
Thanks for the humiliation, Aaron and thanks for a good carnival.
Outstanding job.
what is this carnival of the badger?
Oops! I forgot the obligatory shout-outs to next week's host (RealDebateWisconsin) an the link to Nick's site! I'll get that fixed tonight.
In the mean time, there is a link to the carnival on my side bar. In the CoB, we take turns hosting a weekly blog that highlights stories from Wisconsin. You can host (please do!) or submit a post of your own each week. Either way, it's a great way to get exposure for your blog.
My traffic has increased since I started hosting. But, the level of respect that I get seems to have diminished. :)
Aaron, you are the Michale Svae of the Cheddarsphere.
Just haven't been too vocal lately. It's either the winter blues or the low-grade cold I have.
Michale Svae
Ok.
I did a Google search and got nothing. Who???
Woops I swear that laptop....
I meant Michael Savage of the Cheddarsphere.
I've heard Savage a few times while I was in Fort Wayne (AM 1190: WOWO). He's good at radio: good voice, real smooth.
What comparison are you making? This was the part I liked best about his bio:
For bumper music, Savage has used "Eye of the Beholder," "Frayed Ends of Sanity," "Holier Than Thou," and "The Shortest Straw" by Metallica; and "Du Hast" and "Tier" by Rammstein.
That's some kick-ass bumper music!
If you ever get the chance - my blog contains conservative viewpoints from a college student at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. We recently started up a conservative opinion paper entitled The UWM Times (www.uwmtimes.com) and have already caused a stir among administration as well as leftist students who have accused us of all sorts of things. If you would like, you can read all about them at my blog: http://lorenzogiovanni.blogspot.com I've been posting on all the events that have taken place with the paper - as well as other posts on politics in general. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
